Pelosi claims Trump has 'cognitive disorder' during interview, then makes embarrassing gaffe

Now that former President Donald Trump is marching full steam ahead in his clear path to securing the GOP presidential nomination, Democrats and their friends in the corporate media are coming at him hard.

There appears to be a new narrative focused on Trump's cognitive state, which is laughable, at best, especially when you consider someone like President Joe Biden, whose cognitive state has been described as a national security risk.

According to Breitbart, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) dialed in on a recent instance of Trump misspeaking during a campaign rally, and saying during an interview with KTTV-LA that Trump has a "cognitive disorder."

Trump, during that particular rally, appeared to confuse former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley with Pelosi as he spoke on the subject of security at the Capitol during the Jan. 6 protest.

“Nikki Haley. You know, they- did you know, they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything deleted and destroyed all of it. All of it. Because of lots of things like Nikki Haley, is in charge of security. We offered her ten thousand people, soldiers, National Guard whatever they want. They turned it down," Trump said.

Clearly a rare and accidental slip, Trump was hammered by Democrats and their media allies for misspeaking that night while completely ignoring hundreds of examples of the actual, sitting president making egregious gaffes and errors during his speeches.

Pelosi, apparently now a medical doctor, diagnosed Trump with a cognitive impairment.

"First of all, he has a cognitive disorder. It wasn’t that he just had a slip of the tongue of using a name one time for another. Anybody can do that. But he was making a case. But really more dangerous than getting us mixed up, more dangerous was his charge that we were not accepting his troops," Pelosi said during the interview.

Pelosi added, "We begged him for hours and hours. Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, to send the National Guard and he wouldn’t do it. His his underlings, the secretary of the Army and the acting secretary of the Defense wouldn’t do it."

Absolutely hilariously, during the interview, Pelosi ultimately mixed up Donald Trump with President Joe Biden, generating mountains of mockery.

Another X user wrote, "Oh the irony... remind me who have disorder again?"

It's almost sad to watch Pelosi and her colleagues scramble to come up with something -- anything -- to make Trump look bad as he marches on to victory.
