Pelosi, Sanders trade barbs in aftermath of Democrats' crushing electoral losses
Following last week's presidential election, Democrats have been in turmoil trying to put together the pieces, and more importantly, reflect on how they lost the Senate, House, and White House in one fell swoop.
Many Democrats are already playing the blame game, with Sen. Bernie Sanders blasting them for abandoning "working-class people" and providing an easy opportunity for Donald Trump to pick up disgruntled working-class votes.
These comments, albeit arguably correct, have ruffled feathers among other Democrats like former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who accused Sanders of earning "no respect" for his viewpoint.
Pelosi doesn't want to hear it from Sanders, but the independent from Vermont appears to recognize that the Democratic Party has become the hoe of the elite and has ignored the plight of working-class Americans who are dealing with economic hardship liberals seemed unwilling to address.
Democrats paraded around their celebrity endorsements while regular Americans dealt with sky-high inflation and rising costs of living.
Trump took advantage of this and solidified his position as the candidate representing America's workers, and that played a key role in winning key swing states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.
