Older man punched and killed by tow-truck driver over $10 parking spot: Report

New York City, under Democrat rule, continues to become a more terrifying and deadly place by the day.

According to the New York Post, a 61-year-old father was recently killed after a 30-year-old tow truck driver punched him the face in a dispute over a parking spot.

Authorities reported that a dispute over a $10 parking space in Brooklyn "at a Shell gas station at 1143 Clarkson Avenue in Brownsville," resulted in the older man dying as a result of falling onto the pavement after being punched.

The Post noted:

A friend of the victim, who identified him as Carlyle Thomas, said Sunday morning that he lived right next door to the station and sometimes parks temporarily in gas station parking spots.

The issue originated when Thomas had allegedly parked his car at a gas station parking lot and caused the gas station manager to call a tow-truck company to have his vehicle removed from the spot.

"He came running. He open the door of the tow truck and the guy punch him in the head! He goes down and bam!" his friend said. "Dead. He die right there in front of pump 6! He never touch the guy, only touch his door and the guy come out and punch him."

"He’s a cool guy. Got a young son. Why they do that to him! One punch? Kill him?!"

As far as the parking situation was concerned, the gas station owner reportedly allowed people to park in his lot for $10 overnight if they were unable to find a spot on the street.

Thomas was reportedly a longtime user of the service, and sometimes wouldn't pay until after he retrieved his vehicle, which had reportedly never been a problem before.

"He’s lived here a long time and has a relationship with them, so he didn’t pay right away," Thomas' step-daughter said, while describing what went down.

She added, "He’s verbally arguing with the tow truck guy and from what I hear next the guy hits him so hard he fell to the floor and his heart stopped. That hit was so hard to the floor he died here. He didn’t make it to the hospital and the hospital is three minutes away."

The tow truck driver was arrested and is being held while authorities determine the charges.

An investigation into the fatal brawl is pending.
