Obama issues marching orders to Democrats, stands by Biden despite debate disaster

 June 30, 2024

The Democrat Party and the mainstream media are in full panic mode over President Joe Biden's disastrous debate performance and talks of replacing Biden are running rampant.

Former President Barack Obama has come forward to try and rein in wavering Democrats by announcing he still supports Biden and that "bad debate nights happen."

Obama took to X to say, “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November."

This statement seems to miss a few key points, as most Democrats aren't considering supporting Trump in November. They are considering swapping Biden out for someone who isn't one foot in the grave.

Obama portrays this as a Trump vs. Biden thing when Democrats want it to be a Trump vs. a better Democrat candidate.

Unfortunately for those Democrats, Obama's statement is less an endorsement of Biden and more an order to the greater party to get back in line and stand behind the incumbent.
