NYC cops continue to resign in droves as Democrats crush law enforcement

 July 9, 2023

New York City’s police officers are continuing to leave the Big Apple in droves, as Democrats refuse to support law enforcement and legislate in favor of criminals.

Worse yet, it isn't just officers who are heading for the exits. New York Police Department Commissioner Keechant Sewell recently resigned from her position and refused to explain why.

The New York Post reported, "Through June 30, 648 officers quit before retiring this year — a 22% spike from 2021, when 530 left, and an 87% rise from 2020, when 347 quit, NYPD pension data show."

Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry explained, "Cops are being squeezed from every direction. They are working inhumane amounts of forced overtime. The brass is pushing for more enforcement, while the police-oversight complex is pushing to ruin more cops’ careers."

New York City's Democrat leadership is hostile to police officers and there are other places that are more than willing to employ New York City's police officers if they are willing to make the move to greener pastures.

The Big Apple has been gripped by a massive rise in crime which has further pressured officers to jump ship. Before long, New York City may descend into chaos unless this trend is reversed.
