Former North Dakota state senator pleads guilty to sex crimes

 June 26, 2024

As far as the list of ways that American taxpayers want their dollars spent, paying for senators to fly to Europe to have sex with minors is probably one of the lowest items on that list.

Unfortunately for North Dakotans, that's exactly what former state Sen. Ray Holmberg has just signed a plea agreement saying occurred.

The disgraced Republican senator had "traveled to Prague in the Czech Republic with the intent to 'engage in illicit sexual activity with minors' from around June 2011 to November 2016."

Holmberg was also accused of receiving or attempting to receive child porn between the dates of November 2012 and March 2013.

It's not been a good day for supposed conservatives and child pornography charges:

Holmberg is being held accountable, and just recently Josh Duggar, reality television star and son of politician Jim Bob Duggar, had his child porn case appeal dismissed by America's Supreme Court.

Let's pray for the hearts of both of these men and hope that whatever punishment they endure helps them learn the difference between right and wrong. Unfortunately, America can't trust them right now.
