North Carolina attorney general announces no charges for Trump ally Mark Meadows

January 1, 2023

Mark Meadows, who served as chief of staff to former President Donald Trump, received great news when North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein announced he would not be bringing charges against Meadows for alleged voter fraud charges.

Stein's office issued a statement on Friday saying, "The State Bureau of Investigation conducted an extensive investigation into the fraud allegations against Mr. and Mrs. Meadows concerning their registration and voting in the 2020 elections. After a thorough review, my office has concluded that there is not sufficient evidence to bring charges against either of them in this matter."

Meadows allegedly had been registered to vote in North Carolina as well as two other states. Apparently, claims that fraud was involved didn't hold up under a stringent investigation.

Stein's statement continued by saying, "Our conclusion was ... they had arguments that would help them if a case was brought such that we didn’t believe we could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they had engaged in intentional voter fraud."

So far, neither Meadows nor his team has offered a comment or response to the decision by Stein to not press charges against him.

As for Donald Trump and his team, this is great news. Trump and his people have been pursued relentlessly by Democrats determined to punish them by any means necessary.
