Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley was recently asked if she was running for president not to win the presidency, but to get on Donald Trump's radar as a potential running mate.
She had a VERY clear answer.
According to Haley, she does NOT "run for second."
"I think everybody that says, ‘She’s doing this to be vice president,’ needs to understand I don’t run for second," the former governor of South Carolina said, adding:
That’s something that I hear all the time, and I’ll tell you that, look, we have a country to save, and I don’t trust anybody else to do it.
If that's really Haley's goal, she certainly has some work to do.
In most of America's most recent polls, Haley brought in a respectable 7% support, but that was still less than half of the support that Trump, DeSantis, Ramaswamy, and Pence have garnered.
She's behind Trump by a full fifty points.
Catching him is going to be quite the task, but that's exactly what Haley intends to do.
