Nikki Haley Has Some Explaining To Do

 July 14, 2023

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has hung her hat during the early stages on the idea that China and its various business ventures are very dangerous.

Haley has lashed out at universities for taking funds from China and at American lawmakers selling American land for foreign countries to develop, and she has even suggested that she would try to make American businesses leave China if she becomes president.

"When it comes to our universities, we’re going to say you either take Chinese money or American money, but the days of taking both are over," Haley recently said, adding:

We’ll get that Chinese infiltration out of our universities.

That sounds good Nikki. I'd like to give a Republican the benefit of the doubt, but Haley hasn't always taken these positions.

In fact, in 2016, she praised a $300 million investment in South Carolina by a Chinese company.

For some reason, Nikki wants to hold politicians to a standard that she wasn't able to meet in the past.

I'm not saying that she's wrong, just that she has some explaining to do.
