New York's top court allows 'equal rights' amendment on November ballot
Donald Trump will be watching this situation VERY closely, as it just might impact how he approaches the presidential election this fall.
A proposed amendment to New York's constitution to bar discrimination over "gender identity" will appear on the ballot in November, the state's high court decided recently.
The decision was an affirmation of a lower court ruling from June, which had been appealed "upon the ground that no substantial constitutional question is directly involved."
Democrats are hoping the ballot question will encourage liberal voters to head to the polls this November.
Liberals have told Americans that the "equal rights" amendments are a way to protect abortion rights in America.
It's a very sneaky strategy by liberals, rolling in transgenderism with abortion rights. They are hoping that everyone who supports abortion rights will now be forced into voting for transgender issues as well.
Republicans are strategizing around the proposed amendment as well. According to the Associated Press, "a Republican state lawmaker had sued to block the ballot question, arguing that Democrats in the Legislature made a technical error when passing the amendment."
