New York Times Columnist Admits 'Trump Got 3 Big Things Right'

 January 16, 2024

Former President Donald Trump is proving to be an unstoppable force, and even those who don’t want to see him in the White House are admitting it.

That includes New York Times columnist, Bret Stephens.

Stephens published a recent article in the Times called “The case for Trump… by someone who wants him to lose.”

In that column, Stephen admitted that “you can’t defeat an opponent if you refuse to understand what makes him formidable [and] too many people, especially progressives, fail to think deeply about the enduring sources of his appeal.”

Stephen touched on Trump’s “thesis” that he says “may be truer today than it was the first time he ran on it.”

On immigration, Stephen said that “enforcing control at the border — whether through a wall, a fence or some other mechanism — isn’t racism. It’s a basic requirement of statehood and peoplehood, which any nation has an obligation to protect and cherish.”

Even those who don’t want Trump in the White House understand that the things he is saying resonates with Americans everywhere.
