New York City Mayor Eric Adams' devices seized by FBI as investigation heats up

November 12, 2023

FBI agents have seized cell phones and other devices from New York City Mayor Eric Adams as the federal investigation into his campaign fundraising heats up.

According to a bombshell report from the New York Times, the FBI is investigating associates of Adams for allegedly conspiring with Turkey’s government.

Adams was reportedly approached by FBI agents on Monday, and they took his two cell phones and an iPad, which have since been returned.

The story first broke last week when it was reported that the FBI had raided the home of Adams' former top fundraiser, Brianna Suggs, who had all of her electronic devices and stored information seized by agents.

The raid came as Adams was scheduled to meet in Washington, D.C. with White House officials over the migrant crisis that has hit New York City hard since Republican states began shipping illegal immigrants to the city.

The timing of the FBI's raid against Adams raises questions especially since Adams has been loudly complaining about President Joe Biden's immigration policies. Some are already speculating that the FBI's investigation is a bid to shut Adams up ahead of Biden's crucial election year.
