A new Monmouth University poll said that a majority of voters don't think the middle class has benefitted from President Joe Biden's policies, leading the polling institute's director to slam Biden for not keeping his promises to that group.

In the poll, 51% said the middle class has not benefitted at all from Biden's policies, while only 10% said they believe the middle class has benefitted a lot under Biden.

The numbers have gotten worse since Biden took office. During the early months of his term, 19% said the middle class was benefitting a lot, while only 36% said that group was not benefitting at all.

Monmouth University Polling Institute Director Patrick Murray said of Biden, “Biden’s appeal when he ran for president was that he understands the average Joe. Reaction to his policy agenda, however, suggests it is an area where he remains weak."

Most describe themselves as worse off under Biden than under former President Donald Trump, Breitbart noted.

A CNBC study showed that 70% of Americans said they are stressed financially, and 90% say their stress is caused by inflation.
