Poll: Significant majority of Americans believe Joe Biden is too old to be president

 May 29, 2023

A new Quinnipiac poll released this week found that a crushing 66% of Americans believe that President Joe Biden is too old to run for a 2nd term as President.

The poll asked respondents if they agreed with the statement, “Biden is too old to effectively serve another 4-year term as president."

66% of respondents agreed that the President is too old and needs to step aside next year. Just 31% of respondents disagreed with the statement.

A statement explaining the poll read, "Republicans (90 – 8 percent) and independents (69 – 28 percent) think that Biden is too old, while Democrats 57 – 41 percent think that Biden is not too old to effectively serve another 4-year term as president."

The same poll also found that, "Republicans (85 – 15 percent) and independents (55 – 39 percent) think that Trump is not too old, while Democrats 51 – 42 percent think that Trump is too old to effectively serve another 4-year term as president."

While Donald Trump isn't particularly young either, he is in much better health than President Biden, who appears to be suffering from some kind of neurological disease. Democrats are risking a lot if they nominate President Biden next year.
