New Mexico AG Sues Meta Over Promotion Of Sex Content To Minors

 December 8, 2023

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, which is the parent company Facebook and Instagram, is in serious hot water.

New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez has had enough of what Facebook and Instagram are doing to minors, and he could not turn a blind eye.

Torrez has filed a lawsuit against Meta, claiming that its platforms have been recommending sexual content to minors.

“Our investigation into Meta’s social media platforms demonstrates that they are not safe spaces for children but rather prime locations for predators to trade child pornography and solicit minors for sex,” said the Torrez office.

Meta did respond to the lawsuit, claiming it takes child sex abuse concerns very seriously.

Torrez wants Zuckerberg to be held accountable.

“As a career prosecutor who specialized in internet crimes against children, I am committed to using every available tool to put an end to these horrific practices and I will hold companies -- and their executives -- accountable whatever they put profits ahead of children’s safety,” said the Torrez office.

We commend Torrez in his fight to protect the children.
