MSNBC analyst: Biden trying to "corner Donald Trump"
MSNBC Political consultant Matthew Dowd recently made an appearance on MSNBC Reports, hosted by Richard Lu.
While Dowd was there, Lu asked him how he thought Joe Biden was handling his last days as president.
"I think he’s what he’s trying to do is trying to corner Donald Trump and sort of box him in," Dowd replied. "I think the Biden administration and the president is trying to prevent Donald Trump from doing as much damage as he possibly could do."
"Which he could do a lot after becoming president. But I think Joe Biden is trying to box him in on this," Dowd added.
One of the examples of Biden working to make Trump's agenda more difficult to achieve is his recent commutation of sentences for 37 out of the 40 people on federal death row.
Biden referenced the incoming president when making the move:
"In good conscience, I cannot stand back and let a new administration resume executions that I halted," Biden said. "Make no mistake: I condemn these murderers, grieve for the victims of their despicable acts, and ache for all the families who have suffered unimaginable and irreparable loss."
Do you think Joe Biden is intentionally trying to make things more difficult on Donald Trump? Or is he simply bumbling his way through his last few weeks in office?
