More immigrants supporting Trump in 2024

A new Politico report found that many immigrants along the U.S. border now support former President Donald Trump for president in 2024.

“It’s getting really bad with a lot of the people coming in,” Daniela Simental, an immigrant from Mexico said. “I want Trump back.”

Simental did not vote for Trump in 2016. Her husband Jaime Tacuba agreed that under President Joe Biden, "everything's gone to s***."

“Trump, he started rough. But now that you see it, when Biden came in, he messed everything up,” Mexican immigrant Roy Rosales said. "There are a lot of Mexican people looking forward to Trump.”

Trump is under fire for saying that immigrants have "poisoned the blood of the country" over the weekend, but it seems like some immigrants still think he would run the country better than Biden.

The border situation is unsustainable, and even immigrants themselves know it.
