Monmouth poll shows Biden easily beating Trump even with third party candidate

A new Monmouth University poll shows that President Joe Biden would easily beat former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

47% of the poll's respondents said they would probably or definitely vote for Biden, but only 40% said the same for Trump.

Testing of a Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Jon Huntsman (R) unity ticket showed that Biden would still beat Trump 40% to 34%.

While the poll is worrying for Republicans, it contrasts with other recent polls that showed Trump leading Biden by more than the margin of error.

It could be an outlier, and the sample size of under 1,000 for a national poll is considered less accurate than larger polls.

If the poll is accurate, it could explain why Democrats seem to be almost goading the GOP into nominating Trump by unfairly indicting him over and over again.
