Tuesday's off-year election was a mixed bag nationally, and Republican losses in some areas led to calls for RNC chair Ronna McDaniel to resign.
Democrat Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear was re-elected, Virginia's legislature went Democrat, and Ohio passed a codification of abortion into the state constitution.
It wasn't all bad, however: incumbent Republican Gov. Tate Reeves won reelection in Mississippi, and Republican Jay Ruais won the mayoral race in Manchester, New Hampshire, which was an upset.
Some Republicans laid the losses at the feet of McDaniel.
“What, exactly, does Ronna McDaniel do, besides lose? The only thing she SHOULD do is RESIGN. Effective immediately,” Monica Crowley remarked.
Others on X pointed out that Republicans have lost eight governor's races, three Senate seats, 19 House seats, and the presidency in 2020. They also complained that she has done nothing to make elections more secure.
