Mitch McConnell has a strong record of working against conservatives

 January 1, 2023

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has been at best unreliable and at worst an active threat to the conservative agenda in Congress. In just 2022 alone, McConnell repeatedly undermined numerous conservative movements.

Most notably, McConnell has been full steam ahead on shipping billions of dollars to Ukraine despite the nation's dire finances.

McConnell claimed that "Providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now according to most Republicans. That’s sort of how we see the challenges confronting the country at the moment."

McConnell has also worked with Democrats to pass massive spending bills. McConnell is anything but fiscally conservative, and that fact has remained under wraps for far too long.

McConnell, like House minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), is an establishment Republican who has too much in common with his Democrat peers to be of use to Republican voters.

While replacing McConnell isn't a high priority thanks to Republicans failing to capture the Senate, voters need to be aware of McConnell's less-than-conservative views. Mitch McConnell is not the future of the party.
