Florida's Miami-Dade County flips red in early voting
Democrats have typically had a big advantage in early and absentee voting, but the early voting in Miami-Dade County, Florida flipped from blue to red on Thursday, Breitbart News reported.
Miami-Dade is normally one of the few blue areas of the Sunshine State, but as of Thursday afternoon, more Republicans than Democrats had voted there.
Across Florida, Republicans had 44% of the vote while Democrats had 35%.
More Democrats are voting by mail, while more Republicans are voting early in person.
Florida has a large Republican voter registration advantage statewide and is not considered a toss-up state in this election.
Republicans have abandoned rhetoric from 2020 urging party members to vote in person and have embraced early and mail-in voting for 2024.
