Melania Trump says FBI Mar-a-Lago raid should serve as 'warning to all Americans'
Former first lady Melania Trump posted a video on social media Saturday morning, cautioning that the rights and freedoms of Americans have to be “respected" and blasting the FBI for their raid of the Trumps’ Florida estate.
In the video, Mrs. Trump stated, "I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government here in America. The FBI raided my home in Florida and searched through my personal belongings. This is not just my story, it serves as a warning to all Americans, a reminder that our freedom and rights must be respected.”
The FBI's raid of Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence shocked Americans and was an unprecedented action that has yet to be justified.
The raid was conducted at the urging of special counsel Jack Smith who brought an indictment for mishandling classified information against Trump. U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed Smith's case against Trump in July after finding that he was not lawfully appointed to the role in which he serves.
Furthermore, this came after it was revealed that President Joe Biden possessed a substantial volume of classified documents at his various residences. Biden's homes were not raided in this sweeping manner, and he was not charged, while Trump was.
The optics of the former president of the United States having his home raided by the FBI shocked the world, and they testify to the damage that Democrats have done. The left has weaponized the justice system against political opponents and thrown civil rights into the dirt.
