Melania Trump appears at MSG rally to champion New York City
Former First Lady Melania Trump made a rare appearance at her husband's massive rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday to support his bid for president in 2024 and champion her city.
“Well it was an incredible place. I love New York City,” she told Fox News. “I wanted to support my husband. So I was there for him and for everybody else.”
New York is “the world’s undisputed capital of industry, where titans of finance, fashion, and entertainment convene,” she began.
But she also noted that the city was "unforgiving," adding, “Sadly, today, a declining quality of life coupled with economic instability makes it difficult for business to thrive.”
She introduced her husband and kissed him before he spoke to the crowd.
Her appearance was notable just over a week before the election, and she received wild applause for her remarks.
