McCarthy Supports Trump Regarding Jan. 6: 'He Said To Be Peaceful'

 July 21, 2023

Finally, somebody with some COMMON SENSE.

Democrats have been trying to create the narrative for YEARS that Donald Trump somehow commanded or even wanted the violence that we saw on Jan. 6, 2021.

That's simply not true.

And House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is here to set the record straight.

Democrats seem to have forgotten the facts of that day. Trump told anyone at the Capitol to be peaceful and go home.

"I don’t see how he could be found criminally responsible. What criminal activity did he do? He told people to be peaceful," McCarthy said.

Despite that, liberals are still trying to paint the picture that Trump is some sort of bloodthirsty warmonger who wanted all of this to happen.

Despite the fact that McCarthy is Trump's side on this one, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell does not feel the same way.

He simply said that he is "not going to comment on the various candidates for the presidency" when asked about Trump's legal issues.

""How I felt about that I expressed at the time, but I’m not going to start getting into sort of critiquing the various candidates for president," McConnell concluded.
