Only 10 miles out of Washington, D.C., a Maryland woman went on a 90-minute rampage Thursday, hitting five people with her car and stabbing two, with several victims left critically injured.

The horrific spree started around 5 p.m. in Capitol Heights, when the suspect hit a pedestrian, causing minor injuries.

Within minutes, she was in Landover, where she hit a man and a 15-year-old teen, then got out of her car and stabbed the teen, critically injuring him.

She struck two more people with her car in incidents minutes apart, then hailed a taxi only to stab the driver, leaving him critically injured as well.

Police eventually caught up to the woman, and she is in custody in Prince George County.

Deputy Chief James McCreary compared the rampage to the D.C. sniper attacks in 2002, which killed 10 people and wounded several others over three weeks in the area.
