Marsha Blackburn says Chinese balloon 'all spying'

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is not having any innocuous explanations about the Chinese balloon that flew over the U.S. last week.

“The CCP spy balloon is as much about weather as the Confucius Institutes are about education,” she tweeted. “It is all called SPYING.”

Others in the GOP called for the Biden administration to shoot down the balloon, which finally happened on Saturday when it reached the Atlantic Ocean.

“Shoot. It. Down. The Chinese spy balloon is clear provocation. In Montana we do not bow. We shoot it down. Take the shot,” Montana Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT) said on social media, later adding, “I’d pull the trigger if they let me.”

Former President Donald Trump also called to “SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON!” 

China has claimed that it was a weather balloon that veered off course.
