Mark Robinson says he's staying on ballot after controversial report

North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, a Republican, was recently the subject of a controversial report from CNN.

The CNN story was intense from the very beginning with the headline reading: "‘I’m a black NAZI!’: NC GOP nominee for governor made dozens of disturbing comments on porn forum".

Needless to say, if everything detailed in the report was true, the NC GOP nominee for governor might have had a tough time explaining it away.

Mark Robinson immediately set about the task of defending his innocence.

"Let me assure you, the things you will see in that story, those are not the words of Mark Robinson," he said. "You know my words. You know my character, and you know that I have been completely transparent in this race and before."

Robinson needed only a few words to tell the people who wanted him to drop out of the race exactly what to expect:

"We are staying in this race. We are in it to win it."
