Mark Meadows Could Go Before Supreme Court Before Trump Does

September 7, 2023

Many people think that at least one of Donald Trump's legal cases will end up at the U.S. Supreme Court.

But Trump might not even be the first Republican to make it to the high court if things continue on their current track.

A recent report in the Washington Examiner claimed that former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows could actually have his case reach the panel before any of the former president's cases does.

Regardless of how the lower court judge rules in his case, Atlanta-based defense attorney Phillip Holloway thinks that Meadows is going to end up going before the Supreme Court.

"The appeals court ruling will set precedent. And if the Supreme Court were to ever rule on the case, that would of course set national precedent," Holloway said.

It will be interesting to see what kind of national precedent is set by the Supreme Court if Meadows' case makes it there.

Given that the high court currently boasts a conservative majority, Republicans may feel slightly more optimistic about a favorable ruling that liberals do.
