Marine charged with murdering reality TV contestant
Tshey Bennett is most famous for being one of the exotic dancers who appeared on the HollyHoodTV series Skrippa Bootcamp.
Unfortunately, her brutal murder is probably going to overshadow what she was able to accomplish on television during her 26 years on Earth.
Bennett vanished on Dec. 14. She was last seen working as an escort in Florida. Her body was found dumped in a pond in Mobile, Alabama, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office,
An age 20 active-duty Marine named Willie Ellington has been charged with her murder.
According to the sheriff's office, Tshey Bennet "was working as an escort and had met the suspect at the Sweet Dream Inn at the time of her disappearance."
Police have not yet publicly stated how or why Bennett was killed, but evidence suggests that Bennett was probably killed in northwest Florida, according to WKRG.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said that authorities were able to quickly apprehend the murder suspect after receiving a tip that he was on a bus heading to Opelika, Alabama.
"Our team quickly scrambled to the station and set up a surveillance operation. When the bus arrived, investigators spotted and apprehended a man matching the suspect’s description," Jones said.
Problems quickly got worse for Ellington. In addition to first-degree murder, he was also charged with possession of child pornography.
Rest in peace, Tshey.
