Man Who Fought To Keep Trump Off Ballot Arrested On Tax Charges

Former President Donald Trump has to be cackling over the latest news involving politician John Anthony Castro.

Castro, who fought tooth and nail in attempts to keep Trump’s name off of the ballots in multiple states has been arrested.

“John Anthony Castro was indicted last week on 33 counts of aiding the preparation of false tax returns. Prosecutors claim he ran a virtual tax preparation business that provided customers with tax returns beyond what they were actually owed, defrauding the government,” reported The Hill.

According to Castro, he is refusing to accept any plea deal.

If he stands by this statement, Castro’s case will, without a doubt, go to trial.

“I don’t care if they offered me one day probation and a slap on the wrist in exchange for a guilty plea. This is going to trial. I am going to convince all 12 jurors that I am 100 percent innocent and that this is political retaliation,” Castro said in his recent statement.
