Kevin Kangethe, 40, was arrested at a Kenyan nightclub on Monday for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Boston, then fleeing the United States.

Director of Criminal Investigations Mohammed Amin told The Associated Press that Kangethe will be extradited to face the charges against him.

Margaret Mbitu, 31, was discovered dead in a parking garage at Boston Logan International Airport in early November.

She had been missing for two days before her body was found.

“I’m extremely grateful to the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service, the FBI, Kenyan law enforcement agencies, the Kenyan government and the Massachusetts State Police for bringing the person accused of Margaret Mbitu’s brutal murder into custody,” Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement.

There is no timetable for extradition yet, Hayden also said.
