Man Accused Of Destroying Satanic Display Charged With Hate Crime

 February 1, 2024

Michael Cassidy, a former Mississippi political candidate, has been charged with a hate crime.

What did Cassidy do?

He destroyed a statute brought to the Iowa State Capitol by a SATANIC TEMPLE.

It won't be long before the prosecutor is actually PRAISING SATAN at this rate.

The statue was allowed to be placed at the Capitol due to an Iowa law that allows “religious” displays during the holidays.

We don’t think this is the type of religious display that was in mind when the rule was created, yet here we are.

The Satanic Temple has found a loophole.

According to representatives of the Satanic Temple group, Cassidy destroyed their horned deity Baphomet statue “beyond repair.”

Does Cassidy regret his actions?

Absolutely, not.

Cassidy told The Sentinel, a conservative website, “my conscience is held captive to the word of God, not to bureaucratic decree. And so I acted.”

He is not alone in his feelings.

More than $84,000 has been raised for his legal defense costs by close to 2,000 supporters.

We won’t know more about the next steps in Cassidy's legal battle until Feb. 15, the date of his arraignment.
