Local police furious at Secret Service for throwing them under the bus on Trump shooting
Local law enforcement officials in Pennsylvania are growing increasingly angry at the Secret Service for trying to pass the buck in regards to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on Saturday at a rally there.
"They threw us under the bus," one police officer in Butler told DailyMail.com exclusively.
The Secret Service has claimed since the rally that anything outside the perimeter they set up around the rally grounds was the responsibility of local law enforcement.
"The Secret Service came out here more than a month ahead of time and met with all the local agencies. They tell us exactly what to do, exactly what they want and exactly how they want it. It's all on them," the officer added.
For some reason, even though shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was flagged as suspicious more than an hour before the rally, he was able to climb to the roof of a building less than 150 yards away from Trump 20 minutes before the shooting started and open fire.
There seems to be plenty of blame to go around on this one.
