Liberals call J.D. Vance's public displays of affection with wife, Usha, 'cringey'
In the wake of President-elect Donald Trump's roaring election victory earlier this month, many have focused on learning more about the next vice president, J.D. Vance.
They're also paying attention to his extremely accomplished wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, as well as the couple's fondness for showing their love for one another in public, or as some call it, "public displays of affection (PDA)."
According to reports, some on social media have criticized the Vances for expressing what they believe to be awkward moments of PDA during important political appearances and events.
Others don't seem to care much and have applauded the couple for not being afraid to show each other love in public settings.
Most of the criticism, even from the aforementioned reports, is clearly an extension of Trump Derangement Syndrome from leftwing writers and social media users, as most people do not seem to have an issue with a husband and wife expressing their affection in public.
One such instance from the referenced report describes what the writer claims to be an "uncomfortable" moment:
From rallies to election-night celebrations, the couple has shared moments that veer from sweet to downright awkward, leaving observers bemused and, at times, very uncomfortable. One notable instance occurred on August 28, during a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania. Before taking the stage to address a crowd of 200 at a transportation and trucking company, J.D. planted an enthusiastic kiss on Usha, highlighting the ‘public’ in PDA.
However, a search through social media showed very little evidence to support the claim that observers felt "very uncomfortable" with the moment.
The writer of that report also claimed, "many questioned if such intimacy was appropriate in a professional political setting," yet there's not anything in the way of evidence to support that claim either.
The Vances are clearly a thriving, successful family who aren't afraid to show off their love for one another, which is what most reasonable people would expect, politician or not.
The writer referenced a far-left, anti-Trump website as evidence that a moment where J.D. Vance embraced his wife was "cringey."
Perhaps it's "cringey" to those who are still upset that Trump and Vance destroyed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on Election Day, or perhaps it offends certain single, bitter people who are anti-relationship and do not have any appreciation for family values and love.

Vance, his wife and their children are nothing less than a near-perfect example of the American family unit, and people should aspire to be the same.
As they say, "haters gonna hate."
