Legendary singer Michael Bolton reveals he underwent surgery to remove brain tumor

Singer Michael Bolton shocked fans by revealing that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer just before the holidays and went into "immediate surgery."

Bolton, who is 70, took to Facebook to make the announcement to his fans but reassured everyone that he is doing well and recuperating from his surgery.

The musician's statement opened by saying, "I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year! I also want to share that 2023 ended up presenting me with some very unexpected challenges."

Bolton continued, "Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family."

For now, Bolton will be postponing his tour but wants to get back to the fans as soon as possible without risking his recovery.

Bolton had a busy 2023 with touring as well as making an appearance on The Masked Singer. Hopefully 2024 will be just as eventful without the surprise cancer diagnosis to ruin the holidays.
