Lawmakers want 'maximum transparency' from Biden after 4th flying object shot down

February 13, 2023

Both Democrat and Republican lawmakers and officials are now calling on President Joe Biden to provide "maximum transparency" on the four flying objects the military has now shot down since Feb. 4th.

Objects were shot down over Lake Huron, Alaska, and Canada over the weekend after a larger Chinese spy satellite was downed in the Atlantic Ocean on Feb. 4. No one is sure what these other objects were, but the administration said they were at an altitude that made them dangerous to commercial aviation.

"The lack of communication from the Biden administration regarding the closing of Montana airspace last night and the recent shoot-downs that took place over Alaska and Canada is unacceptable," Montana Rep. Steve Daines (R) said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.

"I appreciate DoD’s notification to my office of the actions they took in downing yet another ‘foreign object’ over Lake Huron," said Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI). "Maximum transparency on what they learn about these objects is essential. We need to preemptively take the necessary steps to keep our nation safe."

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) said she wanted a "full briefing" by the administration about the objects.

Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) said Sunday, "The American people deserve far more answers than we have."
