Popular conservative talk show host Larry Elder ended his presidential run on Thursday, dropping out of the race and endorsing former President Donald Trump in a statement.

Trump has his “full support to Make America Great Again, end the epidemic of fatherless homes, reign in spending, and restore law & order," Elder said.

“The breakdown of the family structure and the absence of positive father figures in the lives of many children have far-reaching consequences for our society, including the crime wave we are currently seeing in America today,” he said. “I hope that my campaign has helped shine a light on these critical issues and sparked important conversations about how we can solve them.”

Elder did not poll high enough to participate in GOP debates and was at 1% when he dropped out of the race.

He tried unsuccessfully to defeat California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) in a recall election last year.

Trump has now reached 60% support in 2024 primary polling, with all challengers now in the single digits.
