Lara Trump says Republicans are willing to pay father-in-law's legal bills

Former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law Lara said that Republicans are only too happy to pay his legal bills, even if they amount to millions of dollars.

"I can assure you that my loyalty is to my father-in-law, and I will make sure that every penny is used properly,” she said to supporters.

Lara Trump is reportedly being considered for a top position with the Republican National Committee.

"They see the attacks against him," Lara Trump told South Carolina supporters. "They feel like it’s an attack not just on Donald Trump but on this country ... So yeah, I think that is a big interest to people, absolutely.”

In addition to expensive legal fees, Trump has also been fined more than half a billion dollars over several cases.

He is appealing all of the verdicts, so whatever he ends up owing won't be due in its entirety until later.
