Kentucky AG David Cameron releases ad touting endorsement from Donald Trump

October 19, 2023

Pretty much across the board, any Republican candidate for office knows that an endorsement from former President Donald Trump is nothing short of political gold.

According to Breitbart, Kentucky Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron (R) released a campaign ad this week in which he proudly bragged that he was the only candidate in the race endorsed by the 45th president.

Cameron, a popular Republican in Kentucky, is running to unseat Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D).

"I am proud to be the only candidate in this race endorsed by President Donald Trump and the only candidate who has stood up to Joe Biden," he said in the video, released Wednesday.

Cameron added, "I fought the Biden agenda in court to defend Kentucky. Andy Beshear? He never will. Kentucky deserves better than a Governor who does Biden’s bidding in Frankfort."

Cameron hit Beshear before on his endorsement of President Joe Biden, who's current polling and approval numbers are in the gutter.

"It should come as no surprise that Andy Beshear is endorsing Joe Biden. Andy has been doing Biden’s bidding his entire time in office. Under Biden and Beshear, Kentuckians are struggling to make ends meet, our streets are full of crime and drugs, and our kids face historic learning loss," Cameron told Breitbart.

He added, "I’m proud to support and to be endorsed by President [Donald] Trump. Kentuckians are looking forward to November 7, when we can fire Andy Beshear."

Cameron had also shown off his Trump endorsement earlier this year.

"Before tonight’s big debate — a friendly reminder that there’s only one candidate that can beat Beshear, there’s only one candidate that has a record of fighting for you, and there’s only one candidate endorsed by President Donald J. Trump," he wrote on X.

According to FiveThirtyEight, Beshear is currently polling ahead of Cameron by anywhere from six to 16 points, but anything can happen between now and the 2024 election.

Hopefully, Kentucky voters come to their senses and get behind Cameron, a strong conservative candidate who clearly wants to make Kentucky great again.
