Actor Keanu Reeves said in a BBC interview that his age -- 59 -- has him thinking about death "all the time," but that he thinks it's a good thing.

“Hopefully it’s not crippling, but hopefully it’s sensitized [us] to an appreciation of the breath we have and the relationships that we have the potential to have,” Reeves said.

Reeves is promoting his first novel, "The Book of Elsewhere," which he co-wrote with sci-fi writer China Mieville.

Speed and The Lake House co-star Sandra Bullock, also 59, said she'd like to work with Reeves on another movie before they're both too old.

Reeves agreed when the two were on a podcast together in May.  “I would love to work with you again before our eyes close," he said.

He is enjoying life with his girlfriend Alexandra Grant, with whom he recently visited Germany.
