Harris campaign staff reportedly 'nervous' about Harris's debate performance against Trump

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to take on former President Donald Trump in a debate this week, and according to insider information, Harris's staffers are panicking about Harris's ability to handle Trump in front of the nation.

BBC U. S. special correspondent Katty Kay reportedly received a series of frantic texts and phone calls from an unnamed Harris campaign strategist that seemed to indicate that Harris is not ready to take on Trump.

Kay stated during an appearance on The Rest is Politics: US podcast, "I'm picking up quite a lot of nervousness by the way on the state of the race. I'm getting a lot of Democrats texting me, I had a long call yesterday with a strategist and I can fill you in a bit more. But I'm getting a lot of nervousness from some Democrats."

This is understandable, considering that the last time Trump stepped on the debate stage, he singlehandedly destroyed President Joe Biden so badly that the entire Democrat Party rose up in a coup to remove him.

Now there are fears that Trump will do the same to Harris, who while much younger, has glaring issues that will resonate with American voters should Trump tear into her like he did Biden.

Harris has hardly been able to manage getting through pre-recorded interviews with friendly journalists. That raises concerns about how she is going to do in a no-holds-barred cage match with Trump, who has made a habit of destroying careers on the debate stage.
