Judge delays decision on dismissal of Eric Adams corruption charges

 February 20, 2025

Donald Trump has said that he "doesn't know much, if anything at all, about Eric Adams' legal controversies."

That doesn't mean it wouldn't be a tremendous win for Trump and his administration if the charges against Eric dams were dropped.

As evidenced by a recent meeting between Adams and Trump's border czar, Tom Homan, it would appear as though the mayor (although a Democrat) is willing to play ball with the administration when it comes to getting illegal immigration under control in this country.

Some people say that Adams' willingness to cooperate with Trump's border plans is why the Department of Justice recently ordered the corruption charges against the mayor to be dropped.

Regardless of the reason WHY Trump's DOJ wants the charges dropped, a federal judge has not yet decided whether the case against Adams will be dismissed.

"I’m not going to shoot from the hip right here on the bench," U.S. District Judge Dale Ho said on Feb. 18.

Adams pleaded guilty to the charges back in September and still denies his guilt.

"I want to be crystal clear with New Yorkers: I never offered -- nor did anyone offer on my behalf -- any trade of my authority as your mayor for an end to my case. Never," Adams reiterated on Feb. 14.
