Judge strikes 'unborn human being' from AZ ballot initiative
An Arizona judge has rejected language put forth by Republican lawmakers on a ballot measure to expand abortion access in Arizona claiming that the language used was too partisan.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Christopher Whitten required that the initiative, which would allow abortions up to 24 weeks use more “neutral” language. Currently, Arizona only allows abortions up to 15 weeks.
The measure is being pushed by Arizonans for Access, a coalition of pro-abortion groups, including the ACLU of Arizona and Planned Parenthood of Arizona.
The measure would establish a “fundamental right” in the Arizona state constitution codifying abortion rights. This measure is part of the ongoing campaign by leftists nationwide to allow the killing of viable unborn children.
The group issued a statement saying, "Arizona voters have a right to clear, accurate, and impartial information from the state before they are asked to vote on ballot initiatives."
Considering that a fetus at 24 weeks is by definition an “unborn human being” it can be gathered that Judge Whitten is an ally of the pro-choice movement and is doing everything in his power to aid the movement to expand abortion access.
