Judge likely to dismiss Rudy Giuliani's bankruptcy case
Ever since Rudy Giuliani served as an attorney for Donald Trump, and the pair claimed that Democrats had "stolen" a "rigged" 2020 election, they have become relatively intertwined in the public eye.
This means that any decision for or against Giuliani could actually have a huge impact on Trump as well.
Trump will be hoping he doesn't soon find himself in the situation in which a New York judge is about to put Rudy Giuliani.
After Rudy Giuliani was ordered to pay a $148,000,000 defamation verdict against two women he falsely accused of committing election fraud, Rudy thought he could just declare bankruptcy instead of paying out.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane was NOT impressed with the evidence Giuliani is using in his argument that he shouldn't have to pay.
"I’m leaning toward dismissal, frankly, because I am concerned that the past is prologue," Lane said. "The difficulties that we’ve encountered in this case in terms of transparency will continue and dog the case."
The dismissal of the case is probably going to require Rudy Giuliani to liquidate his assets so that he can meet his legal obligations.
The judge has promised to issue a ruling on or before July 12, 2024, so we won't have to wait long to see how this plays out.
What do you think the judge should decide in this case?
