Judge in Trump case unseals 165-page motion against Trump, former president calls it a 'hit job'
Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing special counsel Jack Smith's election interference case against former President Donald Trump, made a bombshell move this week that left Trump and his lawyers furious.
According to Breitbart, the judge unsealed a "redacted motion" in which Smith argued how Trump and his allies made efforts "to try to subvert the 2020 presidential election results."
The move was seen by many legal experts as a win in Smith's column -- one he's needed for many months now.
The former president was furious about the judge's decision to unseal the motion and in an excoriating Truth Social post, let the world know how he felt about the situation.
Trump highlighted that the decision to unseal the motion just happened to come in the wake of his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance's resounding debate win earlier this week, accusing the Department of Justice of working against him "because they know" he's winning.
"Democrats are Weaponizing the Justice Department against me because they know I am WINNING, and they are desperate to prop up their failing Candidate, Kamala Harris," Trump wrote.
The former president described the judge's action and the DOJ's case as a political "hit job" against him.
"The DOJ pushed out this latest ‘hit job’ today because JD Vance humiliated Tim Walz last night in the Debate. The DOJ has become nothing more than an extension of Joe’s, and now Kamala’s, Campaign. This is egregious PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT, and should not have been released right before the Election," Trump continued.
He added, "The Democrat Party is turning America into a Third World Country that tries to censor, harass, and intimidate their Political Opponents. What they have done to our Justice System is one of the Great, All Time, Tragedies."
A corrupt Democrat ACTIVIST, dressed up in a judge's robe, decided NOW would be a good time to "unseal" Jack Smith's indictment of Pres. Trump.
Here's why.

In a separate Truth Social post, Trump asserted that what was contained in the unsealed motion is false.
"The release of this falsehood-ridden, Unconstitutional, J6 brief immediately following Tim Walz’s disastrous Debate performance, and 33 days before the Most Important Election in the History of our Country, is nother obvious attempt by the Harris-Biden regime to undermine and Weaponize American Democracy, and INTERFERE IN THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION," Trump wrote.
It was also reported that motions of this type are typically limited to 45 pages. Smith was able to submit a 165-page motion.
Only time will tell how far it goes in Smith's attempt to keep the case against Trump alive.
