Jon Bon Jovi's mother, Carol Bongiovi, passes away

There's been a tragedy, and fans of Jon Bon Jovi are praying that he's okay.

Carol Bongiovi, the age 83 mother of one of America's most famous rock stars, has passed away.

It's no doubt a tough stretch for Jon Bon Jovi, who was already dealing with immense criticism after his latest album, Forever, was only one of the Top 200 albums in America for one week before dropping off the charts.

The album came out around a month before Jon Bon Jovi's mother passed away.

There's no doubt the legendary rocker is going to have to be strong to get through this stretch.

"Our mother was a force to be reckoned with," the 62-year-old rock star said on behalf of his family. "Her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed."

We will be praying for Jon and his family. Even though his records might not be selling like they did back in the 80s, that doesn't mean that Bon Jovi doesn't still have legions of fans, so hopefully they are able to lift him up during the star's time of need.
