Johnny Wactor, 'General Hospital actor who appeared in over 200 episodes, shot and killed by thieves

Johnny Wactor, an actor beloved for his time on the ongoing daytime drama General Hospital, was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday after approaching three men who were trying to steal the catalytic converter off of his car.

Wactor's mother, Scarlett, told TMZ that her son was with a coworker when they saw three men around Johnny's car in the process of stealing his catalytic converter.

She claimed that her son didn't try and stop the three men, but they shot him anyway, and even though paramedics rushed to the scene, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The three suspects are still at large, and there isn't much new information available, unfortunately. This tragedy has shone a spotlight on the danger that life in Los Angeles poses for citizens who have to grapple with dangerous individuals who will brazenly steal and threaten at will.

Los Angeles has become so dangerous that even someone of Wactor's notoriety isn't safe from the ongoing crime wave.

While Wactor was best known for his time on General Hospital he had extensive acting credits on shows like NCIS, and Criminal Minds, among others. His tragic death will leave a hole in the lives of many and should be a wake-up call to LA's city leadership that crime is out of control.
