Joe Manchin Announces Decision On 2024 Presidential Run

 February 17, 2024

Sen. Joe Manchin has finally confirmed his decision as to whether he will or won't run for president of the United States this November.

The answer is no.

"I will not be seeking a third-party run. I will not be involved in a presidential run," Manchin said during an event at West Virginia University.

It's hard to be 100% sure whom this benefits more, as Manchin could have been poised to take votes away from both sides.

Manchin is a Democrat, yes, which means Joe Biden would likely lose some votes if he ran.

However, he was also a Democrat who was way closer to the right than 99% of his party colleagues, so it wouldn't be out of the question for Republicans to consider him a threat as well.

Manchin's decision puts America one step closer to potentially electing the man who would be the oldest president in the history of the Unites States of America.

Let's cross our fingers and pray that things go well.
