Poll: Only 39% want Harris to remain on 2024 Democratic ticket

 February 8, 2023

A low, low percentage of American voters want Vice President Kamala Harris to hang around.

"Only 39 percent of likely voters in the United States want Vice President Kamala Harris to remain as President Joe Biden’s running mate in 2024," Breitbart reported.

A Rasmussen Reports poll released found that only 39 percent approve of Harris as Biden's potential 2024 running mate. Conversely, 48 percent of the respondents said they don't wish to see Harris be the running mate. Thirteen percent of respondents said they are unsure.

When the poll is divided by party, 68 percent of Republican participants said they would not want Harris to run as the Vice President, and 63 percent of Democrat respondents said Harris should be the running mate.

"Last month, shortly after Biden hit his halfway point as a first-term president, there was a report that indicated several Democrats have also expressed doubts about Harris running on the 2024 Democrat ticket as many are becoming worried about Biden’s age and if she would be able to take over — since he would be 86 years old at the end of a second term," Breitbart reported.

Biden has not yet officially announced whether he will run again in 2024. Biden did recently tease reporters about running while he was on vacation in the Virgin Islands. There have been some reports of him putting together a 2024 campaign team.
