Georgia Bulldogs Decline Invitation To Visit White House

President Joe Biden, in typical White House fashion, extended an invitation to the Georgia Bulldog football team after they won the national championship.

The Georgia team, in typical Georgia team fashion, declined the invitation.

Hahahaha. Joe got shut down.

A spokesperson for the Georgia Bulldogs athletic department replied to the White House invitation saying the "date suggested" for the visit didn't work.

"Unfortunately, the date suggested is not feasible given the student-athlete calendar and time of year," the spokesperson said.

"However, we are appreciative of the invitation and look forward to other opportunities for Georgia teams moving forward," the spokesperson added.

Georgia dominated TCU in the championship game in January, winning 65-7.

The school's team also declined the invitation last year.

Initially, President Biden did not extend an invitation due to health and safety precautions.

Later, the Biden administration invited the team after receiving a request signed by U.S. Rep. Earl LeRoy 'Buddy' Carter as well as Democrat Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

"The Georgia Bulldogs, led by Head Coach Kirby Smart, completed a historic season in which they accomplished a 15-0 record and won their second National Championship in the same number of years," the politicians wrote in their request.

Despite the efforts of the politicians, the Georgia Bulldog team ultimately declined the invitation and will not be visiting the White House for the second year in a row.
